Cases were tested with the dual needle core biopsy device. Both cores were submitted in a single cassette for routine histology processing and subsequently reviewed for quality and concordance of diagnostic histology. These cases were evaluated by a pathologist for histologic consistency.

This study demonstrated that a dual needle core biopsy device acquires “equivalent” core samples of cancer tissue in a single pass. This innovative technology preserves the ability to diagnose and support precision medicine and research, especially when tissue samples are limited.
